The Kate romper is made from a slightly heavier-weight 100% cotton fabric, which was chosen specifically for this design . As you mentioned that this was your impression as soon as it arrived, it sounds like the romper may not have been washed yet.

Natural cotton softens after washing and wearing, so we would kindly recommend washing it first before making a final assessment of the fabric.

We have been selling this particular romper for over two years now, and this is the first time we have received feedback like this. This may simply be because the garment has not yet been washed, as cotton naturally becomes softer after its first wash.

We carefully select different cotton fabrics for different designs and seasons, and the Katie romper was intentionally made in a slightly heavier-weight cotton for added warmth while still remaining breathable and comfortable.
